The bistro at Vår Gård in Saltsjöbaden has been designed with inspiration from the soul of the place and unique location. Here, sea and forest meet in an arc-shaped volume with a clear architectural character that is highlighted and reinforced.
Natural materials such as wood, stone, wool and linen are recurring and connect the interior with the sea and the forest outside. Color, pattern and textiles create a warm and lively atmosphere that flirts with Swedish textile craftsmanship and artwork from Vår Gård's collections are integrated and enhance the overall experience.
The "bistro" is the heart of the restaurant. Here, there is generous seating, Nordic furniture and a color scale that reflects the sea and forest. Next door is the "Kitchen" - a warm and more personal part with a homely atmosphere and a view of Baggensfjärden. Each part has its own character but is bound together by a consistent materiality and a common design language. The goal has been to create an environment that combines craftsmanship, sustainability and cultural heritage - a place that feels as relevant now as in the future.
