For the Gnista shopping center on the outskirts of Uppsala, ICA had high environmental goals and the municipality set high design requirements. Based on the brief to make “an environmentally conscious building with a bold identity”, we developed a simple but effective proposal where standard elements are used in an economical, innovative and playful way. Today, we continue our work with ICA to further expand trade in the area.
