We have helped the Food Tech company Agtira develop and shape their “InStore” and “Complete” systems. With InStore, Agtira are the first in the world to offer indoor cucumber cultivation embedded directly in the supermarket, like in Ica Maxi in Sundsvall. Here you can follow the plants’ development from seed to plant, to blossom, to harvest. We have also helped Agtira with the entirety of their system, called “Complete”, and designed both the interior and exterior. Complete has a capacity to produce up to 100 tons of vegetables and 10 tons of fish per year. In addition to offering fresh vegetables to the consumer, it was important that the facilities should also be educational and increase knowledge about the concept of farming locally, as well as providing an understanding of where and how precision-cultivated food can take place. The core of the design has been to put the produce in focus, with a rational design language that makes Agtira’s high-tech operations accessible to the consumer.
